Teeming waters at Raoul: from boarfish to Galapagos sharks

A decent north-easterly wind has us tucked in on the south east side of Raoul but it isn’t impacting the diving conditions. You’ll see in Steve’s incredible footage today that the marine life here is truly abundant and spectacular. If you needed reminding why our marine reserves are so important, this is an excellent piece of evidence.

Striped boarfish

Blue maomao

We went looking for striped boarfish and found them very quickly but we also found some of the top predators known to this area and planktivores. Take a look at today’s video blog – and we’ll check in after our next dive.
