Unexpected find at L’Esperance Rock

We’ve made it to Raoul Island after a couple of reasonably tough days at sea. It started well with lots of talking and reading in our bunks but with a decent swell some of us were looking a little green around the gills.

That’s all in the past though now – blanked out by some early successes and a truly incredible sight at L’Esperance Rock!

Steve Hathaway swims with a large pod of dolphins

The good news for our blog followers is that in the midst of this amazing experience, with the Braveheart surrounded by dolphins, Steve took the opportunity to go for a dive and you can get a glimpse of what he saw in today’s video blog.

We’re on to our first dive at Raoul now so check back tomorrow for some more video footage of life in one of the world’s most pristine marine environments.
