Second day in the southern Vava’u area

Our second day in the southern Vava’u area, and the weather has been perfect for our work, with no wind and hardly any swell. This has meant we have been able to dive on any side of the islands around us. As bookends to each day, we have also experienced gorgeous sunrise and sunsets. And we couldn’t resist but to include a photo of a sunset wrasse.

Late evening tonight we raised the anchor and started making our way to the Ha’apai Group of islands. We will be steaming all night and arrive at first light tomorrow morning. We are curious to see the volcano that has been active for the last few days and has caused flight cancellations in Tongatapu. Perhaps the ash clouds will make for an even more stunning sunset tomorrow night.
